Steam clean render & roof

Render

If you have a render surface on your home, it can easily collect dirt and discolour from its original state. To ensure that only the filth gets off, we employ soft wash technology, which is a combination of specifically selected chemicals and a low-pressure washing equipment.

Render cleaning must be done correctly using the right chemicals and methods, or your home’s outside will be damaged. We are fully trained and City and Guilds accredited  in softwashing of render  and can clean render, K Rend, painted, and other surfaces and restore them to their original condition with our bespoke service.

Our company is completely insured, and we provide render cleaning services throughout Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands, as well as throughout the United Kingdom for larger projects. Unlike other cleaning companies, we have hot water pressure systems and water tanks on all of our vehicles, allowing us to use our own generator and water.

Roof

Roofs can look tired, dirty and neglected  as they are the  most exposed part of your structure and therefore open to the elements. A roof that has an algae build up or moss covering is actually damaging the integrity of the tile as well as running the risk of the gutter becoming heavily blocked. If left unattended for too long, it might mean that the roof needs to be replaced, which we all know can be an expensive process.

At a fraction of the cost and a regular maintenance plan, you can see your roof looking as new as the day it was put on.

What is actually happening to your roof if left untreated?

Moss and algae feed on the tiles on your roof, and the longer they are allowed to grow, the more harm they will do and the more they will reproduce. If you leave the moss and algae on your roof for a long time, it may eat through your tiles, producing rot on the inside of the roof. The stench of rotting wood attracts animals, which may then enter your loft/attic, which leads us to our following point. When roof tiles aren’t properly maintained, they become damaged, cracked, and unable to protect the interior of the property. When cracks emerge in the tiles, leaks occur, and moisture enters the structure, causing mould to grow, posing a health danger to people and pets.

How do we clean your roof?

We use a three stage roof cleaning process.  During the first stage, we use a telescopic pole with a tile specific scraper to remove large organic compounds such as moss and bird excrement. All debris is removed from the roof, cleared, bagged and disposed of.

During the second stage, we use low pressure superheated water to clean and kill any organic growth left on the roof. This method is only used if the roof is in a good condition and will be identified in the survey carried out by Ian who is a qualified building surveyor.

The third stage involves a chemical soft wash cleaning solutions to kill any remaining organic spores left on the roof. Soft washing is low pressure cleaning and  is used to avoid damage to the roof. The cleaning process removes fungus, mould, mildew and algae as well as other microscopic spores. Please see the soft wash section for more detail on this process.
